The Writer's Strike Strikes The Office Hard

Hi all,
I thought i'd write just to let everyone know about how the current television writer's strike is going to impact our favorite show. Well, it's pretty much all bad news. On Monday, both Steve Carell and Rainn Wilson refused to cross the picket lines and report to work. Of course, BJ Novak, Mindy Khaling and Paul Lieberstein are writers for the show so they did not show up either and show runner Greg Daniels is out with the strikers. So while they have episodes written, they are not being filmed.

Basically, all they have are 2 completed episodes. Which means that after next week, November 15th, new episodes of The Office are done and NBC switches over to re-runs. Depending on how long the strikes last, we could literally have no new episodes until next season.

Now, my advice is to hold off on the wrist-slitting and pray that this gets resolved ASAP (apparently they may be bringing in some big guns for negotiations: Bill Clinton) and that we can get back to Office awesomeness relatively soon.

I will keep updating you guys whenever i hear something new...promise!!

Good Luck all,
Natascia
