Hi all,
I told you all that i would update you if i heard anything about the strike, so here i am staying true to my word:
So, talks are on hold again after negotiations resumed on Monday between the studios and the writers. The writers rejected an offer wherein they would receive about 250$ for internet reruns, a fraction of what they get for a tv re-run. According to this article:http://www.voanews.com/english/2007-11-30-voa20.cfm the writers were offered a 130 million dollar increase, but in their counter offer, they wanted a 151 million dollar raise, which is about a 3% raise.
Honestly, i believe that the writer's are being very reasonable and honestly, what is 20 million dollars to the big networks...i'm assuming the higher ups at these companies wipe themselves with 100$ bills.
So come on networks!! Fork it over and let's get crack-a-lacking on some new episodes of the Office!!!!
Later Skaters,
Natascia
